Ahoy Me Mateys Captain Cats here! Watchmen, a comic book series that change the way comic books were told and said that it could not be turned into a movie until the 2009 release and that was fine. Now HBO want to retell it as TV series according to The Hollywood Reporter that HBO gave the Damon Lindelof’s take on the graphic novel the green light. HBO has released a logline for the series as follow:

“Set in an alternate history where “superheroes” are treated as outlaws, Watchmen embraces the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel while attempting to break new ground of its own.”- HBO

Lindelof’s take on Watchmen will be a “remix” of the source and has its cast already with Regina King, Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Adelaide Clemens and Andrew Howard.

To me, I don’t think this is a good idea because how can one “remix” Watchmen, as I said before the 2009 movie did an excellent job retelling the series. Whoever at either HBO or Warner Bros thinks it is an excellent time to make Watchmen into a TV series must have a death-wish because if this flops and gets canceled after the first season, a lot of people will lose their jobs and heads will be rolling.
