Ahoy Me Mateys Captain Cats here! Quake Con started on the 9th and ended on the 12th, but a lot has happened within those four days. Here is some of the important news that came out from Quake Con:

  • Quake Champions will be 100% free to play

ID Software announced that Quake Champion will be 100% Free to play. The game has been in free to play early access with the option to buy a starter pack and a champions pack as well. During the trailer announcement, a new champion was introduced as well. No word yet on with it will be out of early access and if it will be on home consoles in the near future.

  • The Elder Scrolls Online upcoming expansions

The name of the upcoming expansion is called Wolfhunter in which you guessed it, will be on hunting werewolves. After Wolfhunter, Murkmire is the other upcoming expansion. This one will take players to the Black Marsh. The release date for Wolfhunter are the following:

  • August 13 for PC
  • August 28 for consoles
  • As for Mukmire, there was no release date yet.

  • DOOM ETERNAL GAMEPLAY REVEAL

WOW JUST WOW! The 2016 DOOM was a massive success in every way, graphics, gameplay, the environment and the music, oh the music was all incredible. DOOM ETERNAL took everything that made 2016 DOOM perfect and crank it up to 100. Taking place on Earth and I think a Space Station in the gameplay, there are so much to see and do.

  • More information about Fallout 76

Fallout 76 had a HUGE panel at Quake Con. Chris Meyer, Jeff Gardiner, and Todd Howard were on hand to talk about all things Fallout 76 and showed a new “Vault-Tec” video which is always a blast to see. If you like to see the whole panel with Q&A, you can go to Bethesda YouTube channel, but you may need to confirm your age before viewing.

I think Quake Con is always a blast to see and to enjoy, not many companies can say they can have their convention dedicated to its IP and with a HUGE fan-based (especially for Quake) for the past 22 years. I can’t wait for next year Quake Con to see what they have in-store. What you think about this year’s announcements at Quake Con, is there something that we missed? Let us know in the comment below!
