Slightlymad Studios is creating a new gaming console.

Ahoy me mateys Captain Cats here. Slightlymad Studios, famous for the Project CARS franchise has announced that they will be entering the console market with a console of their design. Titled “The Mad Box” the studio CEO, Ian Bell stated on Twitter.

“What is the Mad Box? It’s the most powerful console ever built… It’s literally ‘Mad’….. You want 4k, you want VR at 60FPS? You want a full engine for free to develop your games on it? You have it.” – Ian Bell, Slightlymad Studios CEO

According to TechRadar one of the biggest questions is how is the mad box will be funded and who is going to back it up? Another issue is will it be affordable to the public IF it gets to develop and what will the OS and programming language will it have since it said we could create our video games?

Only time will tell if this becomes a real console or another abandoned project that was too big for its kind.
