Ahoy Captain Cats here and today we are going to review the film debut of Kyohei Ishiguro and an anime film that came out on Netflix and its Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop.
The film is a coming to age story about remembering your first summer love. We see that through the eyes of Cherry and Smile, two young teens who met by chance and spent a whole summer together, that is until the day comes that Cherry and his family had to move due to Cherry’s dad’s work.
The film itself is wonderfully done. The art style, animation, the choice of colors, and the music all brought this together in such a way it may make you think about your first summer love. This is by far a great anime film to watch on Netflix and it will make you remember the summer days of your youth.
