Dark Side Of Football Series Premiere Review

Ahoy Captain Cats here and today we are going to look at the series premiere of the spin-off series of Dark Side of the Ring and that series is Dark Side of Football.

The series premise is to explore the side of American Football that the media at said time of each topic didn’t want to talk about or the league just swept under the rug. The first episode of this new series is titled “Wide Receiver Divas” and asks the question “Why do we find WR in headlines for all the wrong reasons?”

One of the main focuses of this episode was none other than Chad Johnson, a former NFL WR for the Cincinnati Bengals, a team that has a very interesting origin story themselves, and all the antics he did when he scored a touchdown and such.

While the episode was interesting and we did see a side of Johnson that fans wouldn’t have seen or known about, while seeing why the NFL and media were making a big deal about this. In the end, this is a good start to this series and with a total of 6 one hour episodes for season one, let’s see if VICE can get lighting in a bottle for a second time with the Dark side of Football.
