South ParQ Vaccination Special Review

Trey Parker and Matt Stone are back with another South Park, or in this case South ParQ, special.
Released on March 10, the “South ParQ Vaccination Special” tackles the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election, the storming of the United States Capitol, and the vaccination process for the COVID-19 pandemic.

I have to say that with the return of Mr. Garrison, it was hilarious. He gets a new “assistant” in the form of Mr. Service (a Secret Service Agent that protects former presidents for life). He tries to play off everything he did in the past four years as a phase and that his being gay is the cause of the world’s hatred; it doesn’t work as people still hate him for what he has done. His mission in life now is to get back to teaching the kids at South Park Elementary.

Speaking of South Park Elementary, Cartman tells the student body that he and Kenny pulled a prank on their fourth-grade teacher Mrs. Nelson. However, the prank backfires due to Mrs. Nelson’s anger that she is risking her life teaching unvaccinated and she quits as a result. Not only do Stan, Kyle, Kenny, and Cartman get hated by everyone at school they get hated even more by the fact that Mr. Garrison is substituting for her. With their friendship strained by the pandemic, the boys resort to stealing the COVID-19 vaccines to make amends.

This special made the point that the process of getting vaccinated is almost equivalent to getting into some of the most exclusive nightclubs in the world. Other points that were tackled were the Lil’ Qties (kids who were taught by QAnon private tutors), the “storming” on the school to prevent/allow the boys to complete their mission, the limits of a strained friendship, and the showing of how “the elites” really control the world… of South Park.

I enjoyed this special, but one should keep this in mind: changes happen all the time in life. However, one can only change forward and never change back to what was.
