Ahoy Captain Cats here and today we are going to review the second part of the War of Cybertron Trilogy on Netflix and the second part is titled “Earthrise.”
Earthrise picks up where the first part “Siege” left off, Optimus Prime and a handful of Autobots who join him to go into space in search of the Allspark and leaving Elita-1 with a few Autobots to keep the fight on for a Cybertron on the verge of dying. We also see the Decepticon leader Megatron on the verge of going mad doing what many of his Decepticons believe is a way to save themselves and Cybertron but turns out he had other plans.
From here on out we were introduced to a group of Mercenary Transformers, The Quintessons, Scorponok, Sky Lynx, and a huge surprise that I won’t spoil but it made the third part very interesting. While the main storyline of Earthrise was good, it was the side story back in Cybertron that was to me the better storyline. While this storyline has been done so many times, it was great to see what was happening back at Cybertron while the main cast was away. Elita-1, Jetfire, and Chromia were the real stars in Earthrise because they showed what they needed to do to keep the fight for Cybertron for all Cybertronians alive, no matter the cost.
Transformers: War for Cybertron “Earthrise” is on Netflix right now.
