Everything we know about the live action Akira film

Ahoy Captain Cats here and today we are going to look into what we know about the next anime getting the live action treatment and its Akira.

We know that this film was in developmental hell for years and now it has a director and a release date. Taika Waititi, the director of Thor: Ragnarok will be directing the film, and the release date is May 21, 2021. Warner Bros will be distributing the film and the original manga author and creator of Akira, Katsuhiro Otomo stated that he wants to check and approve scenario in the live-action adaptation of this beloved anime landmark film.
