Ahoy me mateys Captain Cats here. It only took Disney 8 months to realize they made a mistake and now they know what they need to do and that was getting James Gunn back and they did.
According to Deadline, that both Marvel and Gunn’s camp has confirmed that Disney has brought back James Gunn to write and direct Guardians of the Galaxy 3. Gunn was fired about an hour away from being at a panel at the San Diego Comic Con of last year in July, and it was rumored that he was going to showcase something of Guardians 3 at the panel.
With Gunn back on Guardians 3, this brings up a few big and important questions that need to be answer:
- What will happen to Suicide Squad 2, which Gunn is working on as we speck? Will he be able to finish it before going back to the MCU?
- Why Disney took so long to rehire him and why they kept being quite about Guardians 3?
- Will Dave Bautista be back now after how he voiced his opinion on how Disney treated Gunn during the firing?
- When will Guardians 3 be back on screen and how will Disney be able to fit it into its new phase for the MCU?
If anything we might get more news after Avengers: Endgame next month and see where all this will go.
