Ahoy Captain Cats here and today it looks like another company is planning to skip this year’s San Diego Comic-Con (SDDC for short.)

According to Deadline that Sony Pictures will skip SDCC and will join WB and Universal on the list of companies that will skip the convention this year. This to me seems odd that they would do this due to they have two films coming out this fall and four films coming out in early 2020, SDCC should have been a great time to promote their upcoming films.

Maybe they have an idea on how to promote their films and don’t need SDCC, or they have bigger plans for next year, we don’t know, but whatever they are thinking about at Sony Pictures, they must be for the next big film announcement for next summer say Venom 2 or Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse 2? Only time will tell, but who knows I could be wrong and it could be something out of the ordinary.
