Keanu Reeves newest film John Wick: Chapter Three – Parabellum made $57 million on opening weekend. Comparing to the first two films, 2014’s John Wick which open with $14 million and 2017’s John Wick: Chapter 2, which open to $30 million it is safe to say this series is here to stay.

Chris Rock wants to reboot the Saw franchise. According to Deadline Rock will be working with Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures and has a release date of October 23, 2020. Joe Drake, Lionsgate chairman, stated the following:

“When Chris Rock came to us and described in chilling detail his fantastic vision that reimagines and spins off the world of the notorious Jigsaw Killer, we were all-in.” – Joe Drake

Cinema Blend reported that Wonder Woman 1984 director Patty Jenkins is not happy with the 2020 release date. She not mad with how they pushed the movie back from its November 1, 2019 date to June 5, 2020, it’s more on she can’t wait for the film to be released. If Jenkins is hype for the film and sounds like it could outdo the Amazonian Princess first film which was released back in 2017.

The Mortal Kombat film reboot gets a release date. According to Screen Rant the James Wan’s produced film will have a 2021 release window. Just like the video game series of the same name, the film should not be rushed and with Wan producing it could be a great film.

Lastly the 2019 Cannes Film Festival or CFF for short is currently going on right. The CFF has been around since its very first one back in 1946 and last about a week and a half. This year dates for the CFF are May 14-25.
