Ahoy Me Mateys Captain Cats here! Hollywood, the bright lights, and name where movies are being made, but they never had a good track record when it comes to adaptations for a series of any kind from other media. Sure some will make the jump to the big screen to enormous success (Comic Books for example), while others didn’t (Ghost in the Shell and Battleship). But there are four that I think no one should try to create onto the big screen in real life.

Here are some Honorable mentions

Super Dimension Fortress Macross

Space Adventure Cobra

The rest of Blizzard IP

God Of War

Doom Patrol

Moon Knight

4: Metroid

Samus Aran, video games beloved bounty hunter has shown time and time again why we all love her so. The Metroid series is legendary for their depth in the world environment, items, and bosses. Trying to make this into a movie is a considerable risk, not only for Nintendo but anyone involves in this project! If anything the locations and environment is a task on its own, plus the script needs to be minimalist at best. No love story, side story, no supporting cast, none of that at all. Just give us Samus, space pirates and everything that made the series legendary.

3.Mobile Suit Gundam 1979

The one that started it all and a timeless classic. Mobile Suit Gundam or Gundam for short has been a cultural phenomenon since it was introduced to Japanese television back in 1979. The cast of memorable characters, both primary and supporting, the storytelling, the environments and locations and of course the Mobile Suits. While we did see a small cameo of the RX-78-2 in Ready Player One, but to do the series, let alone this one is no easy task. The main issue will be the war and the Mobile Suits themselves. The space battles are out of this world regarding sheer numbers of Mobile Suits, fast-paced action and of course dropping an ENTIRE SPACE COLONY ON EARTH!The series tone of war is also heartbreaking, and to some very real as the ones we have seen in history and now.

2.Berserk

Berserk will be 30 next year, and the manga still hasn’t reached its end! The story of berserk is as dark and grim as you can get, maybe even more. Sure there has been animated versions of the series, but that is as far as it can go. This is one IP Hollywood, let alone anyone who wants to put this on the big screen is nearly impossible to do. The story has to stay the same, the over the top violence must be there, the horror and sheer nature of what makes this series outstanding must be intact. This is a series that can’t be sugarcoat at all and changing it in any way will show they don’t know and respect the source material at all.

1 Warhammer 40,000

Warhammer 40,000 or WH40K for short can be summarized in one quote

There is a terrible darkness descending upon the galaxy, and we shall not see it ended in our lifetimes.” – Inquisitor Czevak at the Conclave of Har from The Har Transcriptorum

That’s WH40K in a nutshell, and I’m not making this up. I play the Table Top games, read the books, played the video games and its all war as dark and grim as it should be if not more! The units themselves, the factions, the plants, the heroes, and villains, hell even the warp is impossible to recreate. The battles alone in this universe is nothing but pure death and with no hope in sight at all. If you want to see what needs to be done to create the sheer aura of this universe, click here to see what I mean

That is just 0.01% of what WH40K is about, as you can see the scope of the city, units, people and all in between this is something that can not be done in with the big or small screen.

This there something that we miss? Let us know, and maybe we might make another list!
